·         Managed the development of technology strategy, solution definition, LOS vendor evaluation and selection and implementation planning for largest reverse mortgage provider.

·         Created a future state branch operating model leveraging advanced technology, enhanced delivery systems and improved customer quality and service for national mortgage bank.

·         Established regional jumbo mortgage origination center for superregional bank.  Recruited and hired staff, coordinated training, site, technology and operating requirements. Managed center during start-up phase then transitioning to permanent manager.

·         Conducted branch operations review of wholesale branch operations for national mortgage bank.  Identified improvements resulting in a substantial reduction in application processing time and significant operating cost savings.

·         Established national mortgage application processing center to support indirect lending business.  Coordinated transfer of 100 staff, arranged training, site preparation, technology and procedures for two shift operations.  Managed center through start-up.

·         Completed business requirements review of outsourcing proposal and contract for mid-sized data operations.  Created structure and approach for included Service Level metrics and reviewed cost savings potential.  Participate throughout contract negotiations.

·         Restructured joint software development agreement for workflow application system.  Included financial arrangements for resale by developer, as well as, intellectual property protections for client.

·         Conducted loan origination project readiness review for subprime mortgage banker.  Created and implemented a series of recommendations to revamp overall project management structure and successfully implement LOS.

·         Project manager for the creation of a browser based loan origination system using an ASP operating model.  This system design was to be used via the Internet by consumers, in branch, centralized call centers and potentially through dealers for indirect lending.

 

·         Project manager for development of P&C insurance application software for major auto insurer.  Responsibilities included software creation, testing and implementation, as well as, leading a joint team of users, in-house and contract staff.

 

·         Concept leader for the development of a Future Operating Model for international consumer and business credit organization.  Model include delivery channel design, product infrastructure and operations improvement initiatives.

 

·         Project Manager for international diversified financial institution’s creation of an internet focused credit card composed of a smart card, digital wallet, digital certificate and extended web capabilities.  Responsibilities included product design, site configuration, usability labs, web navigation, customer focus groups and multi-vendor technology integration.

Executive consultant for clients in the financial services, information technology and outsourcing industries.  Project manager consultant for the effectiveness assessment of data processing and back office operations, major systems integration projects and outsourcing evaluations.

 

Representative projects include:

 

·            Managed projects for justifying technology projects, defining functional requirements and selecting hardware software packages including branch automation, financial accounting, loan, deposit, and customer systems.

·            Facilitated the development of long‑term technical and organizational strategies multiple clients including super regional bank, major hardware and software vendors,  mortgage information provider and a multi-state thrift.

·            Established the Project Management Office, testing strategy and contract acceptance criteria for a $70 million system integration project for a money center bank.

·            Conducted outsourcing and alternative processing strategy evaluations for financial service, retail and transportation clients.

·            Managed project to reengineer superregional bank’s systems development organization, approach, tools and testing processes.

 

·            Developed system and operations implementation strategies and plans for national trust division.  Strategy included consolidation of operations and selective 0utsourcing.

·            Engaged by superregional bank in developing contingency plans for replacing the data processing and back room operations of an acquired failed $28 billion bank within one year.

 

·           Project manager and lead consultant for two bank merger of systems and check processing operations.  This project included evaluation of application strategy, standardization of products and processes, site selection and multiple system conversions.
